About 50 pharmacists from the departments of pharmacy, occupational safety, quality, and training participated in the ceremony, and gifts and material containing advice for patients on the use of medication were also distributed. 

Dr. Doaa Al-Ghoneimi, the center’s Director of Pharmacy, said that the aim of the day was to raise awareness of the significant burden caused by medicines due to unsafe practices in the medical field, as well as to enable patients and their families to participate effectively in the safe use of medicines. 

For his part, Dr. George Maher, EVA Pharma’s General Manager, stated that the company supports and sponsors many activities to raise awareness about the disease, train medical providers, and provide the latest treatments available. 

He also welcomed the cooperation with medical facilities serving patients in Egypt, including the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, which provides world-class medical services free of charge to children with heart conditions.
