Cairo, Egypt - September 3, 2025 – EVA Pharma has announced the launch of an initiative for supply chain sustainability, aiming to expand its reliance on local suppliers in line with its commitment to Egypt vision 2030 for sustainable development.
Dr. Michael Nageh, Head of Supply Chain at EVA Pharma, said “We are building an integrated local supply system capable of efficiently meeting the needs of the pharmaceutical industry while maintaining the highest levels of quality,”
“Furthermore, shortening supply chains and sourcing industry inputs from within Egypt, instead of importing them from distant markets, empowers supply chain sustainability by reducing time, cost, and the carbon emissions resulting from air, sea, and land freight transport. This reflects our commitment to our environmental responsibility towards the community.” added Nageh.
EVA Pharma’s Supply Chain Head also revealed that the company has signed cooperation agreements with four leading Egyptian companies in this field: Premium Alu Pack, NCMP, UGC, and ASCOM. These agreements are to supply the necessary raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry domestically, ensuring their continuous and effective availability and enhancing industry stability.
The signing took place in Pharmaconex 2025, the largest and most influential pharmaceutical exhibition and conference in Africa gathering more than 350 Exhibitors.
The latest initiative reflects EVA Pharma’s full commitment to supporting the Egypt’s direction towards promoting national industry, reducing the import bill, and localizing technology and manufacturing. This achieves pharmaceutical self-sufficiency and serves the Egyptian patient, who represents the company’s foremost priority.
We empower the fight for health and well being as a human right.
